CosmoProducts develops and operates technology-based visitor attractions for real places. What began in 2003 with a simple photo postcard terminal has grown over two decades into a complete portfolio of AR, AI, VR and video experiences — operated at over 200 locations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. We deploy AI models that place people in other worlds within seconds, drone footage that becomes flying group experiences, and face animation pipelines running live on RTX 3080 GPUs. Fully offline. Fully autonomous. Fully on-site.
What began in 2003 with a single photo postcard terminal at a tourist location has developed over two decades into one of the most technologically advanced visitor experience portfolios in the DACH region.
Every step was driven by one question: What makes visitors beam? The answer has changed — from the printed postcard via AR masks to AI-generated worlds and drone embeddings. What has remained: the focus on the real moment. Not in apps, not on screens at home — but where people actually are.
First photo postcard terminal under the cosmocard brand. The concept: personal photo + location-specific motif = the most personalised souvenir at the location.
Rollout to Christmas markets, tourism promenades and zoos in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Building the network of permanent locations.
Introduction of the first AR products — cinematic 3D masks on outdoor screens. The conversion discovery: the running outdoor screen is the strongest purchase trigger.
Launch of AI-generated experiences — Magic Tale, Time Travel, Impossible Places, Scale Drop, Sky Drop. Introduction of the Experience World concept: curated experience programmes instead of individual booths.
11 products, 5 technologies, over 200 locations. RTX 3080 GPUs in every booth, fully offline operation. The largest portfolio in CosmoProducts history to date.
For us technology is not a product — it is the means to the moment. The moment when someone sees their own face on a dancing figure and immediately reaches for their phone. When a group flies over their own Christmas market and can barely believe it. When a child stands giant next to the TV tower.
We optimise every step of our pipeline — camera setup, AI model, generation time, output format — for exactly that moment. The question is never "What is technically possible?" but "What creates the strongest impulse to share?"
Location-specific. New every year. No visitor sees the same experience twice. That is no coincidence — that is by design.
We don't think in individual products but in curated experience programmes. Like a cinema that relaunches its film programme every season, we develop an Experience World for every location — 5 to 6 coordinated products that address different target groups, rotate every year and always offer regular visitors something new.
The hardware is identical across all booths. What differs is the content — produced location-specifically, tailored to the place, new every year. That is what we call Experience Engineering.
Local AI inference in 4–8 seconds, no cloud dependency
Apache 2.0 licence, commercial use, offline deployment
Real-time face embedding synchronised to choreographies
Annual aerial filming of locations as content basis
Weather-protected, 4K, cinematic loop as purchase trigger
One setup, all products — no extra effort when changing formats
Behind CosmoProducts stands a team of AI developers, computer vision engineers, motion designers, content producers and B2B sales experts — all with one shared goal: building experiences that stay with people weeks later.
We don't build app experiences. Everything we develop takes place at a real location — and uses that location as the central element. The backdrop is always the real site. That makes the difference.
The visitor should not think about AI — they should be amazed. Every technical decision, from the GPU to the output format, is directed at this goal. If the technology attracts attention, we have failed.
No location should see the same experience two years in a row. We curate annually — new content, new products, new combinations. Regular visitors are our hardest target group. And our most important.
We are happy to develop an initial concept for your location — free, non-binding, concrete.
